Grodan® Plugs, Blocks and now Slabs- It's All DELTA! |
| Spurred by the great success of its Delta starter plugs and growing blocks, Grodan® has started producing slabs with the Delta technology. This new innovation in the production process creates stonewool products with high and evenly distributed air porosity. The adjustments in the production process make firmer slabs that are consistent from slab to slab. The production is done with a much more even spread of the stonewool fibers using a special pendulum technology. This makes for a very uniform slab with ultimate water and nutrient distribution for the plant’s roots. Laboratory experiments and early field trials have shown a higher percent of plant growth rate with the Delta slabs over the traditional Grodan® slabs. Look for the Delta logo on the wrapping of both the popular drier slab Expert (vertically aligned fibers) and the wetter slab Classic (horizontally aligned fibers). You will soon be able to complete your Delta cycle- from starting plants in propagation plugs, transferring to blocks and growing the final stage in the slabs.
