Grodan stone wool is not only 100% recyclable, it also has several secondary applications, including feedstocks for brick manufacturers, compost, potting mix, engineered soils, and more. Our stone wool is non-toxic, non-ignitable, non-reactive, non-corrosive and can contain up to 75% recycling content, all while maintaining the product quality we’re known for across each of our manufacturing facilities.
That said, we understand that in many cases right now, the cheapest and easiest way to dispose of stone wool post-harvest is the landfill. Whether that be because of infrastructure limitations, logistics constraints, and/or volume requirements, we’re here to help.
Grodan is constantly expanding its reach in order to help our consumers obtain better access to recycling throughout North America and across the globe. Together, we can make stone wool one of the most recycled materials in the world.
If your local recycling facility would like to add Grodan stone wool as a beneficial use amendment and has questions, please contact us to assist in providing guidance, product details, and third-party testing results.
